DOT, airport start welcoming visitors

CEBU, Philippines - The Mactan Cebu International Airport Authority is coordinating with the Department of Tourism regional office in welcoming tourists and "balikbayans" who have returned to the country to witness the Sinulog Mardi gras next week.

Mactan airport general manager Nigel Paul Villarete said Cebu can count on a lot of visitors that will arrive this month for the affair.

Villarete said all division chiefs and department heads will also continue with their respective duties and responsibilities.

Airport police have been beefed up in anticipation of the influx of visitors. - THE FREEMAN
