Magpale mulls club for wives of OFWs
CEBU, Philippines - Cebu Provincial Board Member Agnes Magpale plans to organize the wives of Cebuanos working abroad to help them manage the earnings of their husbands.
Magpale said that it has been a common experience for Overseas Filipino Workers that their earnings sent to their respective family are not spent wisely.
Magpale said she wants to help those OFWs ensure that their earnings are not wasted by creating an organization that will assist their wives how to start a small business.
Magpale asks the wives of Cebuanos working abroad to join the program.
“Dugay na namu nga nabantayan nga nalabyan lang and now I wanted to act with this para ang bana gikan sa abroad malipay nga ang kwarta nga ilang gipada sa ilang asawa gigamit sa sakto,” Magpale said.
She said some of the wife that she had talked to has expressed interest in the program.
“I know that this program will be very beneficial to the families of OFWs,” Magpale said. (FREEMAN)
