Pyrotechnics seized in Cordova

CEBU, Philippines - The Cordova Marine Watch and the police in Cordova town seized 12 sacks containing pyrotechnics from a man onboard a pump boat in the seawaters off barangay Day-as.

Reynaldo Lumasac, of legal age, and who resides in Sagbayan, Bohol was on board a pump boat on his way to Sagbayan with the pyrotechnics when intercepted.

Lumasac could not present a permit for his goods, which SPO4 Felix Pacaldo said could be worth around P30,000.

Lumasac was not arrested.

Pacaldo said Lumasac could have bought the pyrotechnics from an unlicensed manufacturer. Had he bought these from a licensed one, he could have been issued a permit to transport. (THE FREEMAN)
