Man stabbed, hurt

CEBU, Philippines – A 31-year-old man was stabbed yesterday dawn for still unknown reasons while walking along Tabunok Public Market, barangay Tabunok, Talisay City.

Leonardo Juarez, a resident of sitio Mananga of the same barangay, sustained a single stab wound on the upper right arm.

He was rushed to the Talisay District Hospital, but was later on transferred to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City for treatment.

PO2 Henry Mata of the Talisay City Police homicide division said Juarez was walking alone near the parking area of the public market when someone appeared and attacked him.

Juarez said he failed to get a glimpse of his attacker because the incident happened so fast.

The armed man escaped.
