Man shot dead in Toledo City
CEBU, Philippines – A caretaker was shot dead while sleeping inside his house at Sitio Minolos 1, Barangay Matabang, Toledo City Saturday evening.
Felix Maturan, 53, native of Sitio Lukod, Barangay Arpili, Balamban died of gun-shot wound on the head and on his right shoulder.
The victim's body was found lying on the bamboo bed already bathed with his own blood at 2:00 a.m. Sunday by Aldrin Carampatana.
Neighbors of the victim said that they heard several gunshots rang out around 11:00 p.m. but they did not know where it came from.
Recovered from the crime scene were four empty shells of 9mm pistol, one slug, one live ammunition for 9mm and two magazines of Ingram machine pistol with 15 live ammunitions in it.
Hornales said they still have to identify the possible suspect because the victim allegedly did not have an enemy. (FREEMAN)
