CEBU, Philippines - A 25-year-old woman allegedly took her life by drinking gasoline and hanging herself inside her home in sitio Sto. Niño, barangay Lamac, Consolacion town.
The police have not yet been established the motive for Charlyn Mondejar's alleged suicide but her live-in partner had claimed that she became jealous after reading a text message in his phone coming from a friend who is allegedly a woman.
Mondejar is a native of barangay Pagatpatan, Butuan City.
PO3 Agustin Bejoc, duty desk of the Consolacion police told The Freeman it was a barangay captain who reported the alleged suicide to the police.
He said that when they arrived at Mondejar's house, her body was on the floor, ostensibly lowered from where she had hanged herself.
The police found a plastic bottle containing gasoline, a nylon rope, and a blanket near her body. (FREEMAN)
