Call center agent shot in Kamputhaw

CEBU, Philippines - A call center agent landed in the hospital after he was shot by an unidentified assailant in Barangay Kamputhaw last Friday night.

The victim was identified as Jonathan Barbosa, 22, a call center agent of Qualfon located at the IT Park. Barbosa hails from San Enrique, Negros Occidental, but is temporarily residing in Barangay Apas.

Investigation showed that the victim was drinking with his two friends at the area of Fiesta Grande along Escario Street when they got alarmed by a commotion past 10pm.

This prompted them to verify and in doing so saw a young man walking backwards while holding and aiming an unknown caliber of firearm. They subsequently witnessed the man fire his gun twice and seconds later, Barbosa started to feel numbness on his shoulder.

He then realized he has been hit twice as blood started to ooze out of his left shoulder.

His companions rushed him to the Chong Hua Hospital for treatment while the assailant fled. Responding policemen failed to locate the suspect. (FREEMAN)
