City acquires 1ots for projects
CEBU, Philippines - The City Council has approved the purchase of five properties worth over P10 million that will serve as sites for various projects, as well as additional resettlement sites and road right of ways.
The Council gave the go signal to buy the properties by approving the resolution penned by Councilors Noel Eleuterio Wenceslao, Jose Daluz and Alvin Dizon. The resolution said the properties are worth P10,195,000 and are distributed in five barangays in the city’s south district.
Daluz, chairman of the committee on budget and finance, said Mayor Michael Rama himself approved the purchase of the properties. He also said the appraisal committee has already deliberated on the issue and has justified the pricing of the lots.
“The city government is purchasing several parcel of lots for road right of way, socialized housing program and other developments,” Daluz said.
The parcel of lots include the Arellano Road lot in Barangay Labangon and Pacana road lot in Barangay Tisa for road right of way amounting to P3,230,000 and P907,500, respectively; Fernandez lot in Barangay Poblacion Pardo for the construction of a sports complex amounting to P872,000; Kintanar lot in Barangay Basak San Nicolas amounting to P2,192,500 and Guillamac lot in Barangay Guadalupe amounting to P3 million for resettlement site purposes.
