Consolacion asks for additional cops
CEBU, Philippines - A Consolacion municipality councilor said the town is asking officials of the Philippine National Police to send more policemen to the town on account of its increasing population.
Alin, a former police chief of the town, said the request came in the form of a resolution to the Cebu Provincial Police Director, Senior Superintendent Erson Digal.
“Nasayod ta nga dili lang ang Consolacion ang naproblema niining kakulang sa mga polis, kon dili tibuok nasud kini, pero manghinaot kita nga mahatagan og prayoridad ang Consolacion,” Alin said.
Aside from the lack of police personnel, Alin said the police in the town also need vehicles and a separate police station.
At present, the Consolacion police station occupies the ground floor of the municipal hall of the town.
Alin said it is crucial that the police station transfer a separate building.
He said Camp Crame is willing to allocate funds for the construction of a building. (FREEMAN)
