- Mylen P. Manto -

CEBU, Philippines – A complaint for illegal drugs was filed before the Bogo Prosecutor's Office against the son of the former Bogo City Hall security officer for alleged possession of shabu.

Nicholas Anthony Yee, 38, a resident of Barangay Taytayan, Bogo is charged for Violation of Section 11 of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

Chief Inspector Fermin Armendras of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 7 said prosecutor Aida Quijana has recommended a P200,000 bail for Yee's temporary liberty.

Yee is currently detained at the Bogo Police Station and reportedly intends to post bail.

Yee was caught by the joint operatives of the Bogo Police and CIDG7 armed with search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Soliver Peras last November 4.

Police said they seized five small packs and one medium pack of shabu worth P11,500 from Yee. They also recovered 20 pieces of tin foil, eight pieces plastic pack with shabu residue, disposable lighter, mobile phone and P3,690 cash.

Armendras said they conducted the operation after surveillance on the suspect. They reportedly secured a search warrant after confirming the information through a test buy. (FREEMAN)
