Man stabbed by ex-lover's partner
CEBU, Philippines – A laborer was injured after a jealous live-in partner of his former girlfriend stabbed him Saturday afternoon in Barangay Suba.
Luisito Panuela, 24, of Barangay Sawang Calero was walking along Tupas St. on his way home at 4:30 in the afternoon when the suspect, Jundy Paso, followed him. Without any provocation Paso stabbed the victim in the left side of his body.
The suspect already escaped before the responding policemen from the San Nicolas Police Station arrived. The bloodied victim was rushed by the responding policemen to the Cebu City Medical Center where he is currently confined.
Panuela told the police that the suspect was jealous of him because the latter's live-in partner is his ex-girlfriend.
A hot pursuit operation was conducted by the police but the suspect was nowhere to be found. (FREEMAN)
