- Flor Z. Perolina -

CEBU, Philippines – Residents of sitio Semento in barangay Pusok,Lapu-Lapu City who were affected by a landslide last Tuesday did not heed the city's notice to evacuate allegedly for lack of a relocation site.

Now the same residents are going back to their homes.

The residents are now contributing money to put up again the three electric posts that fell on the roadsides.

Earlier, Mayor Paz Radaza issued a forced evacuation notice to the 13 households.

Radaza also ordered Pusok barangay captain Boy Omolon to serve the notice to the owners of the houses including two boarding houses.

Omolon was also ordered to facilitate the evacuation and to coordinate with the city government for whatever assistance that may be extended to the residents. (FREEMAN)
