CEBU, Philippines – The chief of the Cebu City Police Office Theft and Robbery Section believes that the robbers who robbed a gasoline station in Barangay Lahug Thursday night are members of wealthy families and are just doing the crime for a thrill.
Senior Inspector Bonifacio Garciano said that the unidentified robbers were using a Sport Utility Vehicle as their getaway after a successful robbery of Shell station along Salinas Drive.
Garciano however said they already have cartographic sketches of the two robbers. The police are also in possession of the video footage from the station's closed-circuit television.
The two unidentified robbers, armed with caliber .45 pistols, took P20,000 from the cashier's booth of the Shell station. One of the two robbers pointed a gun at the security guard while the other proceeded to the cashier's booth.
The unidentified robber forcibly opens the door of the booth and pointed his gun at the cashiers, Marcos Ygot and Ricky Baluampo.
The cashiers were forced to give the money to the robber because of fear for their lives. The armed robbers immediately ran towards a waiting white Ford Everest nearby. (FREEMAN)
