Couple falls for shabu
CEBU, Philippines - A couple was arrested last night for allegedly possessing almost a kilo of suspected shabu worth between P6 to P7 million in barangay Calamba, Cebu City.
Donald Soco, 32, and Antonia Lisondra, 24, were arrested by agents of Philippine Dug Enforcement Agency during an operation around 8 p.m. The two are reportedly bigtime drug pushers who can dispose of more than half a kilo of the illegal dugs a week.
A PDEA agent acting as poseur-buyer handed over a marked money to Soco in exchange for P25,000 worth of shabu. When Soco received the money, the agents immediately arrested him and Lisondra.
Soco yielded at least 32 packs of suspected shabu placed inside a plastic bag he was carrying. Also recovered by the PDEA were a caliber .380 pistol with 16 live ammunitions and the suspects’ cellular phones.
The PDEA operatives then barged into the suspects’ house nearby and recovered more packs of the prohibited drugs. All recovered packs of shabu weighed more than 900 grams, said PDEA regional director Adrian Alvariño.
The suspects, however, denied the accusation. (THE FREEMAN)
