CEBU, Philippines – A man who was just sleeping on a bamboo bench was shot to death by a still unknown assailant in Sitio Lamacan, Barangay Valencia, Alegria, Cebu Saturday noon.

That same day in Toledo City, two separate shooting incidents also occurred.

In the Valencia incident, the victim was identified as Crisanto Dunal Gedorio, 35, farmer.

Gedorio was just taking his rest outside his house after his work on the field when the shooting occurred.

He sustained a wound at the back of his head, which was believed to have caused his death.

In Toledo City, a man was in critical condition after he was shot at the back of his head.

Armand Francisco Patiño, 21 of Sitio Looc II, Barangay Bato, was allegedly shot by Rejie Dunggon Dovivar, 19 of Sitio Kalubihan, Barangay Ibo along with a certain "Tonton" Pahagamas Dolino.

Patiño was on board his BMX bike on his way home at around four a.m. after attending a disco at Barangay Awihao when he was shot with the use of an unknown firearm.

Patiño was rushed to the Toledo City District Hospital but was transferred to Cebu City.

The police immediately conducted a hot-pursuit operation and arrested Dovivar.

At around 11:00 a.m. of the same day, Larry Traya, 24, of Barangay Sagay was also shot by certain Tommy Ortega. SPO4 Gil Lastimosa said that Traya personally reported the incident to their station.

Traya claimed he was shot three times by Ortega who used a .38 caliber revolver while he was carrying a sack of coal. Luckily, only one bullet hit him in the leg.
