Town councilor recommends putting up two fire substations

CEBU, Philippines – A Consolacion municipal councilor would like to see fire sub-stations put up in two barangays for obvious reasons.

Councilor Illuminado Alin, chairman of the committee on police, fire and penology, said he will ask the Bureau of Fire and Protection to set up a sub-station in barangay Tayud and another one in barangay Pulpogan.

Alin said a sub-station in barangay Tayud will serve the coastal barangays in the town while another sub-station in Pulpogan will serve the mountain barangays.

Alin made the proposal after learning about the increasing number of residents in the town living at coastal and mountain barangays.

He said a number of subdivisions are spread all over Consolacion, a first class town, which population increases every year.

"Kinahanglan na gayud nga aduna kitay himoon nga pagpangandam ilabi na gayud pagpamenus sa kadaut kon adunay mahitabo nga sunog," Alin said. (FREEMAN)
