CEBU, Philippines – A 38-year-old widow has accused a 20-year-old man of raping her at a school in the northern town of Bogo last Tuesday dawn, but the suspect vehemently denied the allegations when arrested by the police.
The supposed victim told authorities she was walking home from work around 4am when she noticed someone following her. All of a sudden, the suspect allegedly pulled her to the school and pushed her to a dark corner, eventually succeeding in raping her.
She said the suspect used force and even allegedly threatened her. The suspect then fled right after the deed.
The town's policemen immediately conducted a hot pursuit operation after the supposed victim went to the police station to seek for help.
The supposed victim pointed to a certain Genuel Ylanan as the one who allegedly raped her. The suspect was subsequently arrested at his residence, but denied the al-legations. He, however, said he was drunk at the time of the alleged incident and has no memory of his actions.
Castillote is temporarily detained at the Bogo Police Station and is facing possible charges. (FREEMAN)
