Four men stabbed in arguments over drinks

CEBU, Philippines – Three persons were stabbed by some drunk men during the fiesta celebration of Barangay Hagnaya, San Remigio Cebu yesterday.

Also yesterday, a man was stabbed by his friend whom he was drinking with in Talisay City.

In the San Remigio incident, the victims were identified as Renante Alarde, 31, married, Serge Louie Inot, 22, married and Ian Joseph Inot, 20, single. All are residents of Barangay Hagnaya.

Investigation conducted by the responding officers of the San Remigio Police Station led by SPO1 Manolo E. Jo revealed that while the victims were attending their barangay fiesta celebration, some unknown men who were already drunk threw the glass and pitcher at the road.

This prompted the victims to pacify the men, who got angry and stabbed the victims.

Renante Alarde suffered from a stab wound in the left part of his chest while Serge Inot was wounded in the right arm. Ian Inot was stabbed at the back.

They were rushed to the Don Severo Hospital in Bogo Cebu and were later taken to a hospital in Cebu City.

Those who stabbed them have yet to be arrested.

In Talisay City, Zalde Olomasag, 38, single and a resident of South Galaxy, Barangay Tangke, was stabbed by a certain "Rembat," who lives in another sitio in the barangay.

According to the police, the two were drinking liquor but ended up arguing.

Rembat stabbed Olomasag twice, hitting his right hand and left arm.

Olomasag was taken to the Talisay District Hospital for treatment and was later referred to Don Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center for further treatment.  (FREEMAN)
