Dispatcher stabs vendor

CEBU, Philippines – A vendor landed at the Cebu City Medical Center after he was stabbed with a steel rod at around 8:30 the other night at Gotianoy St. Brgy. Camputhaw, Cebu City.

The victim was identified as Jerwin Lapas, 33, a resident of Dignos Compound Brgy. Lahug, Cebu City.

He was stabbed by a dispatcher known as Arvie Miano.

Lapas was with his friend selling food in a stall along the sidewalk, locally called "pungko-pungko," when Miano suddenly arrived and without apparent reason stabbed his back with a steel rod.

SPO4 Alex Dacua said they learned that the two had a grudge against each other.

This is because Lapas was accused by Miano of destroying Miano's pedal-powered tricycle, locally known as trisikad.

Homicide Section of Cebu City Police Office is conducting an operation to arrest the suspect. (FREEMAN)
