Gwen attends traffic-security system launch

CEBU, Philippines - Governor Gwendolyn Garcia and members of the board attended the inauguration of the Traffic and Security Monitoring System (TSMS) last Friday at the Marcelo Fernan Bridge mini-park in Barangay Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City.

Before the inauguration, Governor Garcia and members of the management board discussed the status of the two bridges including updates of traffic measures, maintenance reports, and other related matters.

Previously, only four cameras were installed at the Mandaue-Mactan Bridge while the same number was installed at the Marcelo Fernan Bridge.

Now there are 17 CCTV cameras at the first Mandaue-Mactan Bridge while 23 CCTV cameras at the Marcelo Fernan Bridge.

The MCBMB allocated P4.8 million for the upgrade of the Traffic and Security Monitoring System.  (THE FREEMAN)
