Rewards for deserving Capitol employees

-

CEBU, Philippines – The Capitol will give incentives to its responsible and hardworking employees on the occasion of the 441st founding anniversary of Cebu Province, this according to Governor Gwen Garcia.

The giving of incentives will be in accordance with their performance.

"Dili magparehas atong tagaan og award kung kinsa 'tong naningkamot og maayo nga nipakita sa ilang mga lihok angay lang natong tagaan og dakong reward ug kinsa tong naningkamot sad pero di kaayo, tagaan sad nato'g gamay nga pahalipay," Garcia said.

Garcia said there are ratings in giving an award based on their Modified Performance System; the highest is Outstanding, Very Satisfactory, Satisfactory, Fair and Poor.

Outstanding employees will receive P20,000, Very Satisfactory employees will get P15,000, Satisfactory employees will be given P10,000, Fair employees will get P8,000 while those employees who got a Poor rating will have nothing to receive but advice from Garcia to challenge themselves to aspire for a higher rating.

The prizes will be sourced from the savings generated from each department.

Garcia also announced the top five district hospitals and departments of the province will also receive incentives.

The top district hospitals, in order, are Malabuyoc, Sogod, Balamban, Pinamungajan and Badian while the top five departments, in order, are the Provincial Engineering Office, the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center, the Provincial Administrator, the Provincial Veterinarian's Office and the Provincial Budget Office.

The top five district hospitals and departments will each receive P10,000; P9,000; P8,000; P7,000 and P6,000 respectively.

Garcia emphasized that she is proud of the Provincial Engineering Office and the CPDRC because she was able to see the big changes. The two offices were previously described as the two of the most unruly offices under her administration.

When Garcia was asked how the Provincial Board members would be rated she said they will be evaluated for their performances from July to December this year and January to June next year.

"Because we have new board members we started to rate them last July and end on December where we can give the award by next year for the top five performers," she said. - USJ-R interns Razel V. Cuizon and Clea Lhyle P. Ompad and Mylen P. Manto/BRP (THE FREEMAN)
