CEBU, Philippines – A lesson for electricity pilferers.
A 22-year-old man was electrocuted while he was connecting a substandard electrical wire from the circuit breaker of his neighbor's house in Barangay Banlot, Sibonga town.
Police said the neck of the victim, Pablito Redilla, exploded due to a strong voltage of the electricity. He was already dead when found by his relatives.
On the site investigation conducted by the elements of Sibonga Police Station revealed that Redilla tried to tap electricity from a circuit breaker of his neighbor by the use of an alleged substandard electrical wire towards his house.
SPO4 Rolando Almonicar, day desk of Sibonga Police Station told The FREEMAN that Redilla might have forgot to turn off the circuit breaker before he connected a wire to it while he also stood in a wet ground.
Almonicar added that the wire was entwined in Redilla's body because of his alleged shocked.
"Instead of releasing the wire iya hinuong gigunitan og maayo ang wire tungod sa iyang kakuyaw, nibalibod nuon sa iyang lawas", Almonicar explained.
On the other hand, the victim was thrown at a distance (no specific meters mention) and simultaneously his neck was exploded.
According to Almonicar that sitio Katap, barangay Banlot was a mountainous barangay of Sibonga with a distance at about 10 kilometers from the town and the street was not in a good condition.
Meanwhile, Almonicar said that the cadaver of the victim was placed in their house in sitio Katap. (THE FREEMAN)
