Rep. Quisumbing has soft spot for Eversly
CEBU, Philippines - Rep. Gabriel Luis "Luigi" R. Quisumbing has allocated a portion of his Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) to Eversly Child's Sanitarium Hospital in Jagobiao, Mandaue City for medical health care services for residents of the 6th district of Cebu.
Quisumbing and chief of hospital Dr. Primo Joel S. Alvez, have signed a memorandum of agreement stating that the Eversly Child's Sanitarium will extend its services to indigent and disadvantaged patients from the towns of Cordova and Consolacion, and Mandaue City.
Amid the continuing increase of patients who cannot afford expensive private hospitals, Quisumbing has introduced a bill that will increase the bed capacity and upgrade the hospital's facilities and professional health care services.
"The proposed measure will increase the capacity of Eversly Child's Sanitarium Hospital to address medical needs and make health care facilities more accessible to our constituents in the 6th district," Quisumbing said.
Other priority programs and services in Rep. Quisumbing's 10-point agenda include infrastructure, business development, good governance, barangay development, health, tourism, housing, education, drug rehabilitation, and senior citizens' welfare. – PR (THE FREEMAN)
