American products for breast cancer survivors

CEBU, Philippines - The American Breast Care, manufacturer of mastectomy bras and breast forms has brought their products to Cebu to help local cancer survivors “lead fuller lives after breast surgery.”

The product launch at the City Sports Club the other day was attended by breast cancer survivors whose advocacy is to encourage breast cancer patients to keep on fighting. Jay Markowitz, CEO of |ABC, was the event’s guest speaker.

External breast forms are used as alternative to plastic surgery to reconstruct a breast after mastectomy, which is usually a consequence of breast cancer.

ABC introduced a number of materials and designs created by a team of professional engineers and designers. ABC said the products use the highest quality silicon gel in a polyurethane skin to create breast forms.

Joachim Rechenber, chief operating officer of ABC, said their products cater to the need of cancer survivors for more diversity when it comes to choices of intimate apparel. — Karen Joy Vicentillo and Jessan Guillemer/JMO (THE FREEMAN)
