Three brothers "kill" cousins
CEBU, Philippines - Three brothers are being accused of killing their cousins while drinking yesterday in barangay Canjulao, Lapu-Lapu City.
The police arrested brothers Pedro Pebida III, 23, and Patricio Pebida, 32, and Pedro Pebida Jr., 34, for the alleged killing of Paul Dico, 35, who sustained a gunshot wound on the forehead and Rapunsel Dungog, 21, who was struck on the head with a hard object that resulted to his sudden death.
An initial investigation made by the police showed that the relatives were drinking when one of the brothers resented what one of the cousins had said and then one thing led to another.
"Si Rapunsel maoy niuna og hapak nako og pistola sa ulo mao nga midagan ko. Nagkuha ko og bangkaw unya ako siyang gi-igo sa ulo pagkahagba niya akong gidakdakan ug bato (He first hit me with a pistol on the head before I killed him with a rock)," Pedro III said.
The police found on the crime scene only a bloodied rock but not the gun.
Two bodies were taken to the Cosmopolitan Funeral Homes and will be autopsied. (FREEMAN NEWS)
