Man, 64, dies after falling off coconut tree

CEBU, Philippines - A 64-year-old man died after he fell from a 45-meter high coconut tree in Barangay Panganiban, Toledo City midday last Friday.

Investigation revealed that Jaime Ebardo, a coconut harvester, went up the coconut tree to harvest some coconuts when his foot slipped and caused his fall.

It was his sibling who discovered Ebardo already on the ground unconscious.

He was brought to the Toledo City Hospital, but he did not survive due to several wounds and a broken leg.   (FREEMAN NEWS)
