CEBU, Philippines - Lapu-Lapu City attorney Joseph Vincent Lim lost his battle with liver cancer last Thursday afternoon while confined in one of the private hospitals in Cebu City where he had been confined for almost a month.
He was 54.
Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Paz Radaza and Congressman Arturo Radaza yesterday expressed their condolences to the Lim family.
Lim served as city legal officer for nine years during the administration of former mayor now Congressman Arturo Radaza.
Maritess Amoro, one of the staff of Lim, told The FREEMAN that Lim was confined in the hospital in the middle of June.
He was discharged two weeks ago but was taken back again to the hospital eight days after he was discharged due to a heart attack.
"Buotan gyud na siya nga department head. Strikto apan naa sa lugar kay he always imposed discipline among his people. Model na siya namo diri," Amoro said.
His remains lie at the Cosmopolitan Funeral Homes in Nivel Hills, Cebu City. He is survived by his wife, Jane. They have no children. — THE FREEMAN
