Fireman shot in Toledo City

CEBU, Philippines - A fireman and his fiancé were ambushed by two unidentified persons in Sitio Katera, Cabitoonan, Toledo City last Wednesday evening.

SFO2 Isabelo Diaz, 50 of Subayun, Toledo City was riding a motorcycle with his fiancé Irish Manlangit, 18, when the shooting happened. Initial investigation conducted by Toledo Police Station revealed that two persons, who have yet to be identified, fired at the Diaz and Manlangit.

Diaz and Manlangit sustained several gunshot wounds and were taken to the Toledo City Hospital. They were later transferred to Sacred Heart for further treatment.

The police are still investigating the incident further to determine the motive and the firearm used by the suspects, who fled using a black Honda TMX motorcycle. (FREEMAN NEWS)
