Woman shot dead
CEBU, Philippines - A 55-year-old woman was shot to death by two unidentified gunmen in Purok 5, Barangay Talavera, Toledo City yesterday morning.
Estrella Tapao Edoloverio, married, sustained gunshot wounds in her neck and back portion of her body.
Investigation conducted by the Toledo City Police revealed that around 6:30 in the morning, Edoloverio was attending to her carenderia when a motorcycle with two men on board stopped in front of the carenderia.
The man riding at the back shot Edoloverio several times with a .45 caliber pistol. The still unidentified men immediately fled.
The victim was rushed to Toledo City Hospital for treatment she died along the way because of the gunshot wounds.
PO3 Jemelon Cotmaya, PO3 Thule Tahadlangit and PO3 Gerardo Taboada recovered three empty shells from the crime scene.
The police officers are still checking on the motive of the crime. (FREEMAN NEWS)
