Radaza bares 100 days priority
CEBU, Philippines - Lapu-Lapu City mayor-elect Paz Radaza said that business and tourism sectors as well as the concerns of women and children will be her administration’s priority within her first 100 days in office.
Radaza, 61, who also serve as barangay captain of Mactan before she was elected mayor, said that she will work to enhance the support and strengthen the communication lines to the business and tourism sectors in the city.
Radaza said both sectors are vital to the development and growth of Lapu-Lapu City.
Radaza said her administration will also focus the issues and concerns of women and children in the barangays. The City of Lapu-Lapu is one of the first local government units to pass a Children’s Code, the guidebook of the city and barangay officials in implementing programs related to issues of the children.
According to her, she will also prioritize the implementation of program related to education and health. She said the city, thru the local school board, will implement programs to improve the quality of education.
She likewise vows to improve the health services in the different barangays. Infrastructure projects will also be reviewed to make it attuned to her priorities and the needs of the people.
In an earlier interview with THE FREEMAN, Radaza hopes to make Lapu-Lapu City a little Hongkong or Singapore.
The vice mayor-elect, Marcial Ycong, and the 1- newly elected members of the city council who are all allied with Radaza announced their full support to the plans and programs of the incoming mayor.
Radaza will replace her husband, Arturo, who was also elected as the first congressman of the Lapu-Lapu lone congressional district. – THE FREEMAN
