Police asset stabs errand boy
CEBU, Philippines - An errand boy of the police was stabbed by a police asset yesterday morning few meters away from the Pardo Police Station.
The victim was identified as Roel Javier, 36, who is doing an errand to the police station and a native of Bukidnon, was about to clean the patrol car when the suspect, Barry Delfin, and his companion attacked him.
Javier said that he and Delfin, 38, resident of Barangay Basak-San Nicolas had an argument the night before because of his refusal to clean the detention cell.
According to Javier, the suspect ordered him to clean the detention cell but he refused to obey the suspect. He believes that it was the reason behind the attack against him.
Javier said he was preparing to wash the patrol car of the police station when the suspect together with a certain Edcel Desierto, 32, of Barangay Kinasang-an, suddenly stabbed him with an iron pipe and a knife.
The victim sustained two stab wounds on his lower left chest. The suspects immediately fled after the incident.
The victim said he immediately asked the desk officer on duty of the police station, SPO1 Romeo Solon. Javier was immediately taken into the hospital by PO3 Joel Lacson. (FREEMAN NEWS)
