Bayani shrugs off survey results
CEBU, Philippines - Despite Pulse Asia’s latest election survey on vice presidential bets showing Sen. Mar Roxas and Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay in the lead, vice presidential candidate Bayani Fernando said yesterday that his team does not worry about what election surveys say as they have their own survey strategies.
For vice presidential bets, the recent survey of Pulse Asia showed that Binay has already overtaken Sen. Loren Legarda in the second spot and is only nine points behind Roxas who has 37 percent of the voters. Binay now has 28 percent of the voters while Legarda gets 20 percent.
Fernando, along with Eduardo Manzano, follows Legarda in the fourth spot each having three percent of the voters.
Fernando said that he does not care about election surveys.
“We have our own surveys, and we do not divulge it in public,” he said.
According to Fernando, there is no point in publishing election surveys. “Ba’t mo ipa-publish?” Fernando asked.
Fernando said that he was earlier asked if he has the money to conduct a survey.
“Ang sabi ko, I don’t have much money that’s why I have to be very creative with my campaign,” he further stated, adding that he expects that the creative campaigning will give him an edge in the end. – THE FREEMAN
