CEBU, Philippines - Although considered as underdog, Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña’s sister Georgia remains confident of winning the mayoralty post in the May 10 elections.
“I entered this campaign without Tommy’s support and I intend to win even without it, but with the support of the people of Cebu,” said Georgia, who is running as an independent candidate.
According to Georgia, her decision to run is not intended for his brother but for the service of the people.
“It’s up to the voters if they want to choose a clone of Tommy or choose an able, competent, sincere and honest person like my father Serging for mayor. Let the people of Cebu decide,” she said.
