"Cebuanas for Gibo"

-

CEBU, Philippines - An all woman group yesterday announced their support to presidential aspirant Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro amidst controversy of Gibo’s fading support.

The Cebuana for Gibo, a satellite group of Green Team Cebu, consists of women from different backgrounds - housewives to professional—stated their all the way support for Gibo.

The group, which was just form about a week ago, held a press conference at the Grand Convention Center to show people that a concrete support group is present here in Cebu for the presidential candidate.

“Nakita nako ang need nga nay mga ganahan mo volunteer but they don’t know where to go. I texted them and they responded,” Pinky Chang, coordinator of the group, said.

She added that they are not worried about the exodus of the administration allies to the other political parties.

Among the administration party members who have already deserted Teodoro are Speaker Prospero Nograles and Albay Governor Joey Salceda.

The massive defections were attributed to Teodoro’s poor ratings in the different surveys. But, despite of Teodoro’s poor survey ratings, the group finds him the most qualified for the presidency.

“I believe in Gibo, I find him very intelligent and he is still above others,” one supporter said.

The group made it clear that they do not believe in surveys. The group said that as far they know more people is voting for Gibo than other candidate because he has the character and the confidence to be a president. — May April Jimenea & Debbie Acebu – UP Mass Comm Interns/FPL   (BANATNEWS)
