CEBU, Philippines - Police arrested and detained a 16-year-old boy for allegedly stabbing a friend midnight of yesterday at San Antonio Street in barangay Looc, Mandaue City.
The police picked up the juvenile a few hours after his friend Prince Arche Araneta, 22, was stabbed on the right shoulder.
The juvenile told police Araneta would always mock him whenever they met.
Again they met yesterday midnight and Araneta again mocked him, which led to an argument, he said.
The police report said that at the height of the argument, Araneta threw a pitcher at the boy and then kicked him. The juvenile retaliated by stabbing Araneta with a knife.
Neighbors brought Araneta to the hospital while the juvenile fled. The juvenile was caught later on and is now being investigated by the City Social Welfare Services.
