Minors steal electrical wire from farm

CEBU, Philippines - Six minors entered the farm of retired Regional Trial Court judge Romulo Senining in San Remigio town and stole a rolled electrical wire worth P6,000.

The responding officer, PO3 Joe Johnnuesky Ynot, said the six suspects barged into the farm and stole the wire past midday the other day when the caretakers, Grace Albaño and Ricardo Moraca, were having lunch.

Because the caretakers were able to identify the suspects, they immediately sought help from the police who subsequently placed three suspects ages 17, 14, and 13 under police custody. The other three reportedly eluded arrest.

However, the police released the two suspects ages 13 and 14 after their parents, together with the Department of Social Welfare and Development, were able to present birth certificates to prove their minority. — Gabriel C. Bonjoc/JMO(FREEMAN NEWS)
