Davide group: Campaign is gaining more support

CEBU, Philippines - Liberal Party gubernatorial candidate Hilario “Junjun” Davide is continuously and quickly gaining more support, this according to the Good versus Evil Brigade.

“Nagkadaghan na ang misaad og suporta ngadto sa anak ni kanhi chief justice Hilario Davide Jr. gikan sa kalungsuran. Nagkadaghan na ang nakaila kun kinsa si sir Junjun bisan kun menos kami sa kahimanan ug maingon ta nga bag-ohay pa lang ta nga nakapanukad sa atong information dissemination,” the group said in a statement sent to The FREEMAN.

They said that their series of dialogues and radio programs have helped in introducing Davide to the public especially to the province and those who are seeking for change in governance.

Davide is a regular guest of “Pagsulbong sa Kausaban” aired everyday over Bantay Radyo.

The statement added that in a continuing online survey facilitated by a local daily, Davide is getting 90 percent of the votes.

“Hinoon dili gyud ni sya maingon nga accurate and final, we don’t know if all of those who voted online are voters of the province but this is already a good sign,” the statement read.

The Good versus Evil Brigade said they will continue to assist Davide in holding dialogues, especially in the remotest areas in the province.

“Ang pulong-pulong dili lang pagpangampanya kundili konsultasyon usab sa mga yangongo sa mga tawo. Duolon ni Davide ug Sanchez ang mga nagtapok tapok sa kadalanan bisan og kini sila dili daghan.”

Davide and Vice Governor Greg Sanchez have recently visited the towns of Badian and Alegria where residents expressed their concerns regarding the water system.

“Problema gyud kaayo namo diri ang tubig, magkalos pa gyud mi og layo kaayo. Unta og budgetan pa ni ang tubo gikan sa tubod makatabang na og dako,” said Joy Amanuencia of Barangay Gulwaan, Alegria.
