Teeners found positive of gun powder

-

CEBU, Philippines - Senior Supt. Erson Digal, director of the Cebu Provincial Police Office, confirmed yesterday that the Filipino-American national and his cousin who were found dead in barangay Cansumoroy, Balamban town earlier this week were positive in the paraffin test administered on them by Supt. Nestor Sator of the PNP Crime Laboratory yesterday.

British national Frank Richard Bell was also found to have indeed fired a gun.

However, the bodies of Marlon Allan Flores Borja, 19 years old, and his cousin Harold Flores, 17, don’t bear gunshot wounds which establish that their death was purely caused by the impact of the motorcycle crash.

Digal already ordered his men to bring the motorcycle to their headquarters for cross-examination including the five empty shells that were recovered from the crime scene.

However, they could not say yet who is liable for the death as the investigation is still going on.

It was reported earlier that love triangle may have been the motive behind the killing of Borja and his cousin, according to Digal.

Digal said that it was the father of the Fil-Am national who told him that Borja and the wife of the British national had an intimate relationship.

It was late afternoon when the two bodies were found by passersby in Cansumoroy, Balamban last Sunday that were later identified as those of Borja and Flores, both residents of Toledo City.

Initial investigation carried out by policemen revealed that Borja and Flores were seen standing on the roadside when the Kia Sorento vehicle bearing plate number YAZ-782 passed by. It was said to be driven by a Caucasian-looking man, later identified as Bell, 60 years old, who is currently residing at the City Lights Garden Condominium on Nivel Hills, barangay Lahug, Cebu City.

Bell was with his Filipina wife Juriza Mahinay Bell, 28; their daughter Savanna Katrina Bell, four years old; and the nanny, Majessa Alcover.

Borja and Flores, onboard a motorcycle, reportedly shot the latter several times.

The driver’s side of the vehicle was hit including the roof, the windshield, and the left headlight.

Bell went on driving despite the shots which hit his car. He and his family made it to Cebu City and immediately reported the incident at the CPPO.

“Sa istorya sa British national, iya daw gidumbol and motor sa iyang sakyanan mao nga nadisgrasya ang duha. Nabunal unya nahagbong man ang duha sa kilid sa dalan,” Digal said.

Bell suffered minor injuries on his face because of the shattered windshield. His companions were unhurt. – Gabriel C. Bonjoc/MEEV (THE FREEMAN)
