Man shot dead in Lorega-San Miguel
CEBU, Philippines - A resident of barangay Lorega-San Miguel was shot dead by his neighbor who allegedly harbored ill feelings against him.
Freddie Alarcon Codilla, 36, died on the spot after a certain “Dadang” shot him on the chest past 5pm last Monday in sitio Laguna. The suspect fled after pulling the trigger.
The victim’s sister, Jessica, said she looked for Codilla when the latter failed to return to their house when she asked him to buy cigarettes. At an alley in sitio Laguna, she reportedly personally saw the suspect shoot her brother.
Jessica narrated the incident to the homicide section of the Cebu City Police Office.
Jessica said she immediately rushed her brother to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center, but Codilla did not make it and was declared dead on arrival.
An autopsy conducted on Codilla’s body showed the bullet had exited the victim’s back.
