CEBU, Philippines - The Police Regional Office-7 confirmed that SPO1 Adonis Dumpit sent feelers to them that he will be surrendering within a few days.
Supt. Rex Derilo, chief of Regional Security Agency and Guards Supervisory Units and the direct superior of Dumpit said they received the information from the friends of Dumpit.
He said they were not able to talk directly to Dumpit after the NBI-7 served the warrant of arrest for the case of murder in his office.
In an interview with the reporters, Derilo said that Dumpit is still on leave.
“Ako na siyang naingnan nga leave sa para asikaso ang iyang kaso. Natawgan gani na nako siya sa iyang cellphone, primero ma-contact pa pero walay mutubag pero inig sunod dili na gyud ma-contact,” Derilo said.
Dumpit is facing murder charges for killing a certain Ronron Go.
PRO-7 director Chief Supt. Lani-o Nerez confirmed that yesterday morning, the mother of Go visited his office to ask for help for the arrest of Dumpit.
He said that he urged Dumpit to surrender and face the murder case in accordance with the due process of law.
“Ug unsay mando sa korte among ipatuman sanglit mao man kini tahas sa kapulisan hinungdan nga akong gimanduan si Derilo sa pag-locate ni Dumpit,” Nerez said.
