CEBU, Philippines - Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri turned over financial assistance worth P1 million to the city government of Toledo.
Zubiri approved the request of Mayor Arlene “Daydee” Zambo and the officials of the Department of Education in Toledo City for the construction of two buildings at the Don Andres Soriano Elementary School in barangay Don Andres Soriano (formerly Lutopan) and for the women’s center building of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority facility in barangay Ilihan.
The ceremony took place at the Barba Sports Complex yesterday during the celebration of the city’s golden anniversary.
Before Governor Gwendolyn Garcia left for an official trip to China, she attended the flag-raising ceremony in Toledo and the wreath-laying at the monument of the late congressman Manuel Zosa who sponsored the bill that created the city of Toledo.
