4 charged in court for drug use
CEBU, Philippines - Four suspected drug users were charged in court after they were caught having pot session in barangay Lorega San Miguel this city.
The Cebu City Prosecutor’s Office indicted Joseph Guhaw Robledo, Reynaldo Arnoza, Ronald Loquinario and Leonardo Rebato for violation of Section 12 Article II of the Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as possession of drug paraphernalia.
The prosecutor’s office has recommended P40,000 bail for each accused.
The accused were caught on the act of having a pot session in Sitio Camanse, Lorega, San Miguel afternoon on December 23.
Members of the Cebu City Police Station 1 led by SPO4 Abundio Cabahug were on a routine patrol when a concerned citizen approached them and tipped them off of the ongoing pot session.
The joint affidavit of the arresting officers showed that they responded to the information and saw the suspects inside a shanty. According to the policemen, they saw the accused holding strip of aluminum tin foil containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu.
The four suspects were immediately accosted and placed under arrest. Recovered from their possession were four strips of aluminum foil, rolled tissue and disposable lighters. — Fred P. Languido/JMO (THE FREEMAN)
