Couple making love hacked dead

CEBU, Philippines - Residents of sitio Lumboy, barangay Muabog, Tabogon town, were stunned after finding the bodies of a young couple who had been hacked dead inside an abandoned nipa hut yesterday morning.

Tabogon police station chief Sr. Insp. Alexander Angcao identified the victims as Crispin Dogon, 23, who also goes by the nickname “Titing”, a resident of barangay Tabo-aw of the said town and Pacita Dol-dol, nicknamed “Itis”, 26, a resident of barangay Muabong.

Angcao said that one of the suspects, Tapias Brion, 56, single, resident of Muabog is now under custody for questioning.

But he explained that they arrested Brion due to another pending case for act of lasciviousness in relation to Republic Act 7610 or Child Abuse.

According to Angcao Brion liked Pacita and was jealous of Crispin, but the police chief also said they also have another suspect as Pacita allegedly had another boyfriend. Muabog barangay tanod Felino Monares said that around 3 a.m. yesterday heard a woman shouting for help.

Monares ran to the sound of the voice but he never heard it again.

He said he decided not to look for her anymore as the place was dark and decided to go back in the morning.

According to Angcao the following morning Monares found the two naked victims inside a hut both dead after being hacked repeatedly.

Pacita appears to have been trying to get away when she was killed while Crispin was found lying on the floor.

Police say it appears to be a crime of passion judging from the brutality with which the two were killed.

Before the incident happened the two were at a disco and Crispin sent a text message to Pacita asking her to leave the dance floor to meet him.

The two then got on a motorcycle and went to the grassy place were the hut was located.

Police later found that the attacker of the victims had unplugged the spark plug of Crispin’s motorcycle to make sure that they could not escape.

The personal belongings including the cellular phones of the victims were recovered by the police from the crime scene.
