The provincial government yesterday released P3 million worth of financial assistance to the municipal government of Dalaguete for the implementation of the town’s priority projects and as financial assistance to the town’s barangay captains.
Governor Gwendolyn Garcia personally handed the check amounting to P450,000 to Dalaguete Mayor Andrade Alcantara to fund the town’s water system project, as well as financial assistance for the Pasigarbo sa Sugbo.
The financial assistance was taken from the funds of the office of the governor and the funds of Board Members Wilfredo Caminero and Peter John Calderon.
The barangay captains sought financial help from Capitol to install water systems, construct health centers and footbridges, install electricity, and for road maintenance.
Garcia said she hopes that the barangay officials would strictly monitor the implementation of the projects. — Jose P. Sollano/JMO
