Bogus Dove products seized from downtown stores

CEBU, Philippines - The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-7 seized fake Dove products worth almost P50,000 during a series of raids on various esta-blishments here in Cebu City the other day.

PO3 Renante Laude, CIDG-7 duty alert, said that the raids stemmed from a complaint of Unilever Company in Manila on several business establishments and individuals engaged in the sale and distribution of fake Dove products.

Laude said that the CIDG-7 Anti-Fraud and Commercial Crimes Division led by Sr. Insp. Renante Lambojo conducted surveillance operations two weeks before the recent raids.

The CIDG-7 agents conducted the raids by virtue of search warrants issued by Judge Eduardo Peralta of the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch last Monday.
