Father and son shot to death in Balamban
CEBU, Philippines - A father and his son met their unexpected death evening last Sunday when their neighbor shot them inside their residence in sitio Riverside, barangay Singsing in Balamban town.
Investigation revealed that Cesario Herbito, 46, and his son Billy Joy, 19, were inside their house when Achilles Bagat, 36, suddenly went in, prompting Billy Joy to confront the suspect.
An argument then occurred between Billy Joy and Bagat and, moments later, the latter pulled out his firearm and shot Billy Joy on the chest.
Seeing his son bathed in his own blood on the floor, Cesario tried to run after Bagat but the suspect also shot him and hit him on his forehead. Cesario also died on the spot.
Police failed to arrest Bagat, but recovered a slug of a .38 revolver from the crime scene.
