UC achievers awarded

CEBU, Philippines - University of Cebu president and chief executive officer Augusto Go turned over to Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examinations second placer Cesar Baron, Jr. a check worth P100,000 yesterday during the awarding ceremony for UC achievers at the Casino Español.

Baron, a scholar from Toledo City, who graduated with an Academic Excellence Award said that there is “nothing too hard if you have the will to do it.”

Belvin Armenion who placed third in the recent Certified Public Accountant Board Exams received P50,000 aside from the P36,000 he got from the University of Cebu-Professional Review and Training Center.

Armenion, the son of a farmer, completed his accountancy studies with honors.

Aside from them, Herny Loberanes was recognized for copping first place in the Chief Marine Engineer Licensure Exams-Written Phase given last September of this year; while Rannel Gadiano, a fifth placer in the Criminologist Licensure Exams also in September was awarded with a check worth P40,000.

Other awardees include Keyvhen Oyao, fourth placer, and Elmer Mendiola Jr., 10th placer, in the Chief Marine Engineer Licensure Exams-Written Phase; and Christopher Aro, seventh placer in the Second Marine Engineer Licensure Exams-Written Phase.
