Nationwide implementation of CCPO's mobile outposts eyed
CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu City Police Office is now studying how they can forward to the Directorate for Integrated Police Operation (DIPO) their idea on Mobile Police Outpost for a nationwide adaptation.
Chief Supt. Lani-O Nerez, director of Police Regional Office-7, said that inspectors from the Camp Crame commended the idea on mobile police outpost during the recently held Annual General Inspection.
The project, which was an idea of the Cebu City Police Office headed by Sr. Supt. Patrocinio Comendador, was commended by the Camp Crame inspectors who suggested to have it adapted nationwide.
Meanwhile, Nerez said that the inspectors also appreciated PRO-7’s innovativeness in the operational aspect.
This included PRO-7’s more efficient Women and Children’s Protection Desk (WCPD) and Task Force Anti-Human Trafficking with WCPD as the center.
Nerez said that they also represented some programs that are not in the PNP’s Manual such as the “Task Force Motorsiklo” composed of policemen who are tasked to go after the motorcycle-riding criminals.
The PRO-7 director pointed out that the purpose of AGI is not to find fault on every police station but to find some of its areas that needs to be improved. — Niña G. Sumacot/WAB (THE FREEMAN)
