Man falls off motorcycle, run over by truck
CEBU, Philippines - A utility worker of a call center company was badly hurt when he was ran over by a six-wheeler truck after he fell off the motorcycle he was driving along the national highway in Barangay Jagobiao, Mandaue City.
Rene Imus, a resident of Liloan town, sustained injuries in the left leg and was lying flat on the ground for over ten minutes while waiting for the members of Accident Control and Emergency Rescue Team (Acert) of Mandaue City.
“Nagkawil-kawil man to ang iyang wang tiil,” several by passers said.
Imus was driving his motorcycle towards Cebu City and upon reaching the vicinity of Eversley Hospital along North Road in Jagobiao, he accidentally hit the rear portion of a passenger jeepney he was tailing that was driven by Vicente Agonias.
Because of the impact, the victim was allegedly thrown off his motorcycle before he was run over by one of the tires of the truck he was also tailing.
“Ni-agi man to sa tunga ang nag-motor, unya pagka-igo sa luyo nga bahin sa PUJ napalagpot ang nag-drive dinhi sa truck,” said truck driver Jose Bocog.
Agonias said he did not notice that the victim hit the rear portion of his vehicle.
