Woman shot dead in Moalboal
CEBU, Philippines - A 36-year-old woman was shot to death by an unidentified assailant in her own house in barangay Buguil, Moalboal town late evening last Sunday.
The fatality was identified as Thelma Rozonable, married.
Initial investigation revealed that Rozonable went to the second floor of her house around 10pm after a conversation with her husband Rene and sister-in-law at the ground floor.
A few minutes later, Rene and the sister-in-law heard a burst of gunfire, which prompted them to rush to the second floor. There, they saw Rozonable sprawled on the bed, bathed in her own blood.
Policemen later said Rozonable was hit on her left eye by a bullet of an unknown caliber of firearm. Investigation in ongoing for the arrest of the suspect and to determine the motive of the shooting. - Gabriel C. Bonjoc/JMO (FREEMAN NEWS)
